We use the appropriate project management methods for the task at hand. For certain phases of IT project we prefer to use PRINCE2 and others Agile methods such as SCRUM. We also use elements of PMI if that is appropriate. 

Agile ASAP project management methods give shorter implementation cycles, known as sprints. It's  important to keep these short as  most companies are continuously improving the processes and the project needs to ensure they are developing the processes for tomorrow and not yesterday's. 

Agile / Scrum - Scrum is an iterative and incremental agile software development method for managing software projects and product or application development.

At the end of the day we need to ensure our client always stays in control and that the business case of the project is constantly being reviewed. It's important that the project management tool doesn't get in the way of achieving quick results for our client. We always adapt the approach according to what our clients are familiar with or prefer to use. 

Background to the Project Management Methods
  • PRINCE2  - PRojects IN Controlled Environments 2 is a structured project management method endorsed by the UK government as the project management standard for public projects. A PRINCE2 project has the following characteristics:
